Ok, perusing my favorite politico blogs, I find out that Terry Bradshaw (yes, the former football player) while at a motivational lecture was tossing out wristbands of a charity he supports for "Pigs for Jesus"....*headcock* Huh?

First off, I'm pretty sure Yeshua was Jewish. That whole Kosher thing, probably took it seriously. Yep, pretty sure they didn't have BLTs at the last supper. Plus there is that whole thing about casting Legion into a herd of pigs. I'm not sure that he's appreciate their support.

Now, the charity is actually a slaughter house that takes profits and funnels them toward needy children. I can see however why they didn't go for "Slaughter for Jesus". But why "Pigs for Jesus?" There is so many other names they could have used.

So, today ended my 14 free spree into the world of superheros. For those of you who play such online MMORPGs (no, I don't know what it means...I'm 40 and not cool or hip) I thought it was an intresting adventure. I got to run around and put the smackdown on a variety of bad guys. Unfortunately I'm not willing to pay for the experience on a regular basis. To be honest, I don't need the extra distraction. Two weeks wasn't enough time to get into it enough to find a team or get to the point of having the cool super powers. So meh, I'm not missing out on a lot. My only regret is that it doesn't come as a stand alone game. So when I occasionally need to beat the crap out of something online to unwind, I could just fire it up on the computer. Oh well, there is other games for that.

So, I just read an article on Rupert Murdoch (my god I just typed Rupert Murdick - Hey someone could slip on this Freudian bananna peel) about how he is trying to shame all online news media into becoming paid sites. Now people who work with online business are scratching their heads. Rupert can strong arm newspapers, he can give us Faux News TV. But I don't know if he'll be able to muscle the internet into making people pay for general news. Specific info news I can see, but not the general news.

Now, something that might work would be along the lines of Iphone apps and Itunes. Give the first part of the article, then if they want to read the rest of it - click this button and your account gets charged .05 or however much you want to charge and you are billed at the end of the cycle (weekly, monthly, daily etc). Now I more than anyone know the draw of free. But even in my head, I'm likely to over look a nickle here, a nickle there even if it adds up to more than what just buying the damn paper would cost. Plus it helps publishers look at which writing, which columnists hit the best, instead of what fill can I use to fill the page?

But hell, what do I know about business. Maybe Murdoch will strong arm us out of more money.
